The tank seems OK danny. Have repaired the hole where the fuel leaked from. I’m only buying fuel from BP or Caltex now. Cannot trust the others for their fuel and what it contains.

We have been informed that 10% ethanol will be used from Feburary in the UK as the standard fuel, possibly a 5% alternative available (at a premium). I cannot really find any info other than this from the Shell Australia site which makes for pretty shocking reading. http://www-static.shell.com/static/aus/downloads/e10/ulpethanol_brochure.pdfFrom this it states that ALL models/years of Yamaha, Kawasaki, Honda and Suzuki are [...]

Interesting…http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/victorians-steer-clear-of-ethanol-fuel-20110811-1ip35.htmlDue to the poor economy of E10 they have not been buying it, so Shell have withdrawn it! Hopefully somehting similar will happen in the UK. If they even inform us of the change!

Some key points At concentrations of less than 5% there was, and still is, no obligation for the petrol pumps to be labelled at point of sale The most universally recognised compatible seal (elastomer) material is known by the [...]

The saga continues, it has now come to light that some of the leading tank sealers are NOT compatible with 4 star leaded fuel. This was previously preferred by many due to the lead content and apparently contained no ethanol. Just thought I would pass this info on as something in the fuel strips off the [...]
