Just thought we should write a post on here to stop anybody being misled by various ebayers and some dealers selling “GENUINE” Hepolite pistons.
Recently Wassell ltd purchased the Hepolite brand name and so have the right to produce Hepolite branded pistons. Although in theory these are Hepolite, they are unlikely to be of the same quality (due in part to the fact they are made in Taiwan) as the real old stock pistons, or the newer version which up until recently have been produced by AE, made by Federal Mogul.
The new Hepolite pistons can be purchased through Burton Bike Bits, as well as various other brands such as GPM. But we always recommend using the real deal if they are available. BBB still carry a good range of GENUINE NEW OLD STOCK Hepolite.
