Triumph TRW Owners Group: 7 months, 1 week ago · ViewWell, I recently obtained a complete TRW engine, primary, and gearbox. I was going to find a chassis to put it in, but, unfortunately I now need to sell (I need cash to either hire a lawyer or a hit man to visit my soon-to-be ex-wife). Anyways, I have no idea what the stuff is worth. Not looking to get rich, but also do need to get what I can. The engine is complete (mag isn’t complete) and it turns over really smoothly
Main bearings feel tight- no slop in them. Rotor is missing, but stator is in primary cover. Cases have no cracks or welds, outer covers not dented, cracked, gouged; no broken or cracked fins on cylinder or head. Primary is all there (except chain). Gearbox turns smoothly and shifts through all gears. I don’t want to take the thing apart to see what it may need inside, because if I do that I’ll wind up rebuilding it and won’t want to sell (I know how I am with this stuff- that’s why I got God-only-knows how many bikes and bike projects laying around). And if I don’t sell, then I won’t have money for lawyer or hitman. So, does anyone here have any idea how much these items are worth? Would anyone here be interested in buying? Not looking to separate them; want to sell as a single lot. Any advice/help would be much appreciated. If I need to post more info or pictures, I can do that also. Thanks -

Danny Page started the forum topic Triumph TRW History – Vehicle B Report in the group
Triumph TRW Owners Group: 7 months, 2 weeks ago · ViewHi All, I am not sure if this has been mentioned before but a couple of TRW owners have written in to the RLC Museum to request a B vehicle report to trace the history of their bike. The link is here for anyone interested: http://www.army.mod.uk/rlc/history/17719.aspxThey also have records of other ex military vehicles and so I am [...]

Triumph TRW Owners Group: 8 months, 3 weeks ago · Viewit’s a 1952. sent details to Danny but still waiting for it to be included on their data base
Thanks to their fantastic service (honest) I’ve been able to make real progress. But by golly it’s slow.
Primary chaincase ready to go back on ; just need a gasket. PRS8 switch now wired in (according to manual) but not all the colours are as described. (have to use common sense-)problem solved.
waiting for odd nascelle nuts and bolts to arrive and U bolts for original crash bars that will need rechroming
Front wheel off to be rebuilt. sadly beyond redemption. original rechroming hasn’t stood the test of time and has complettely flaked off. so frustrating/disappointing. Stainless is the way forward?
fantastic to get original parts from Burton in original packaging, clean them up and they fit, i love it.
now find other bits and pieces have been welde/repaired over the years , do i replace them or is this part of its character/history?
Where does the coil fit? have i got al the right parts?
where do i fit the new non original rectifier?
it’s an IQ test which i can sometimes do without but it’s great fun
it will never be pristine out of the crate but it will work
PS the last time i got involved with projects like this was 40,years ago when i built a tribsa because i blew up my A10 and then i had access to an engineering workshop and friends helped. now i’m on my own -
